The Ennismore Curling Club will be fifty very-busy-years old in 2024. Located in the Chemong Lake community of Ennismore, just a stone’s throw from Bridgenorth, Lakefield, and Peterborough, the Club draws its members from a multilayered mix of rural, cottage and urban communities. The members range from children to elderly, experienced curlers to novices. Our “Learn to Curl” program on Sunday afternoons has encouraged many young and those “not so old” to learn a new sport and meet new friends at the same time.
ECC is a fully accessible, medium-sized club, small enough to be familiar and social, yet large enough to offer more than ten leagues in open or mixed formats running daytime or evening and a slate of bonspiels that have earned a well-known reputation for fun and excitement. As well, the ECC is linked into the Interclub circuit that plays at other clubs in the region. A curler at the ECC can get in a lot of games and a lot of social time.
A history of exceptional volunteers allows the Club to keep its costs under control and membership fees very competitive. There are discounts for new members and for those under 35.
Club facilities, that include a modern kitchen, bar and lounge, are available for rentals throughout the year. Curling ice is also available during curling season, and the ice arena can be rented for weddings or other large events during the off-season.
