Ennismore Curling Club and Banquet Hall

Are you looking for a new and exciting way to stay active and meet new people this winter? Are you someone – young or old or in between -- who has never curled before? Or are you already an experienced curler looking for a new club? Or have you just retired and want to try your hand at a unique, historic and friendly Canadian sport? Look no further than the Ennismore Curling Club! We are welcoming and inclusive. We offer a variety of programs, leagues and events for curlers of all levels and ages.

Don't know how to curl but have wanted to try? Our Learn to Curl program is perfect for you. Our experienced instructors (current members) will have you delivering stones and sweeping your way to victory sooner than you might expect. And it doesn’t end there. Graduates from this 6-week Sunday afternoon Fall program can register for an open league starting in January. There is even a special bonspiel (Glenfiddich) for you in January where 2 inexperienced curlers team up with 2 "experienced" curlers in a fun tournament: “bonspiel” in curling talk. An excellent way to meet even more people from the club. Curling isn't just a sport - it's a social activity !

Our curling season typically starts in 3rd week of October and runs to the end of March with a range of daytime and evening leagues. There are half season leagues enabling you to join in Fall and/or Winter. Usually Teams in half season leagues are made up by league conveners and changed after the Christmas break. Full season leagues are run as Team Entry where teams stay the same all year. While most of our leagues are Mixed (two women, two men) or Open (either men or women or together), there are also specific men’s and women’s leagues as well as a flourishing Doubles league. In addition, there is an opportunity to participate in Interclub curling where teams of ECC curlers play against other local curling clubs (Bobcaygeon CC, Campbellford CC, Cobourg CC, Lakefield CC, Lindsay CC, Norwood CC, Omemee CC, Peterborough CC, Peterborough Golf & Curling Club).

The Ennismore Curling Club (ECC) is member run and managed. Members volunteer 4 hours (lots do more) each year to help with club activities, such as bonspiels, the annual garage sale, or other events, such as the special learn to curl program run with local schools. These opportunities enable you to meet new people at the same time your volunteer help enables us to keep our membership fees as low as possible.

Our membership fee structure reflects the diversity of our leagues and how frequently you want to curl. We offer discounts to encourage new members, under 35 years of age. Unlimited leagues discounts (full or half season) are also available.

If your schedule is busy and you can't commit to a regular team you can register to Spare only or join our Friday Night Drop-In Curling.
