Doubles Bonspiel a Double Success

The 4th Annual Doubles Bonspiel was held Saturday Dec. 2nd. Curlers from Ennismore were joined by others from Oshawa, Lakefield, Peterborough and as far away as Waterloo and Listowel. 

In addition to a great day of curling there was a sumptuous lunch menu of Penne Pasta with Chicken and Vegetable Medley in a Alfredo Sauce served along with a Greek Salad. Desserts included Creme Caramel Flan, Moist Chocolate Quinoa Cake, Carrot Cale, Pumpkin Cheescake and Plum/Blueberry Peach Crisp ! I wish I had been invited .... oh yeah ...I was and turned it down. BIG MISTAKE on my part. Just look at those desserts !!

Seriously, it is the volunteers that always make a difference. And this was a great bunch.

Barb McKee and  Mike Maloney (3rd Place)

Winners in the 2nd Draw included:

Noah Terpstra and Brianna Donnegan (1st Place) 

 Carolyn Campbell and Bob Stevens (2nd Place)

 Dale Chilvers and Phyllis Knapp (3rd Place)

 And lastly, there were some Doubles game prizes award that featured Double items- Double AA batteries, Double bubble gum, Double Oreo cookies, etc. And apparently, the award for Double broken fingers goes to our very own Tim Morrison!  After being presented by Co-convenor Pat McClean, he needed help from Darcy Wefers to carry all of his prizes.
