Ralph Wood , ECC Founding President has died

Although many current members of the Ennismore Curling Club will not have known him, Ralph Wood, the Club's founding President, died on 2 October 2023.

Right from the initial bright idea, Ralph dedicated countless hours to raising the funds and convincing offical people that a curling club was needed in Ennismore. And he saw it happen. Then over the following years, he continued his non-stop support. Admittedly, it was not all nose-to-the-grindstone for him. There are countless tales of good times, unusual shenanigans and the occasional tipple with Ralph involved

A service for Ralph will be held on 22 Oct between 3 and 5pm at the Ashburnham Ale House. Remember him: without Ralph there would not be an Ennismore Curling Club.
