2 Person Open Curling League
Convenor: Tom Antonopulos (email: tanton3030@gmail.com or phone : 705-292-9721)
- Each team is comprised of two players regardless of gender.
- One member of each team stays at each end of the rink and must not cross centre ice
- The two delivering curlers alternate delivering six stones each per end, while their teammates skip that end. Then the roles are reversed.
- All games are six ends
- Each stone must be delivered (stick or hack delivery) and is in play after crossing the "delivering" hog line. If it does not cross, a player may redelivered the same called shot and ice.
- Sweeping/brushing is not allowed between the hog lines
- The first 3 stones delivered can NOT be removed until the 4th stone is thrown. If any stone is removed before the 4th stone, the delivered stone is removed from play and any/all displaced stones are replaced as close as possible to their orginal position(s)
- There is no application of the centre line no-tick rule; stones touching the centre line may be moved off teh centre line by the 2nd or 3rd stone (but may not be removed from play).
- In the event of a tie, an extra end is played, with each player delivering 3 stones
More detailed rules of play and interpretation of the rules can be found at the Canadian Stick Curling Association. The official CSCA Rules document (June 5, 2025) can be accessed by clicking HERE.
- choice of Stick or Hack delivery following the regulations of 2 Person Stick Curling
- this accomodates a stick curler who may want to curl with their partner/spouse who is a hack curler
